Times are as follows: McKinney Boyd High School at 9 a.m.; McKinney High School at 1 p.m.; McKinney North High School at 5:30 p.m. Live streaming video of the graduations will be available at www.mckinneyisd.net/graduation/.

91͵ÅÄ Special Olympics

The McKinney Mavericks are the 91͵ÅÄ’s Special Olympics Team. The 91͵ÅÄ Special Olympics team was formed in 1979 and provides sport opportunities throughout the school year to athletes meeting eligibility requirements. Sports currently offered with 91͵ÅÄ Special Olympics include bowling, bocce, basketball individual skills, basketball teams, soccer teams, and track and field.

Eligibility Requirements for Participation

91͵ÅÄ Special Olympics welcomes athletes in their participating sports meeting the following 91͵ÅÄ participation eligibility requirements.

91͵ÅÄ participation requirements for all competing sports, bowling, bocce, basketball individual skills, basketball teams, soccer teams, and track and field.

  • The athlete must be an enrolled student with 91͵ÅÄ.
  • The athlete must be at least 6 years of age to 22 years of age.
  • The athlete must be compliant with 91͵ÅÄ Student Code of Conduct
  • The athlete must be identified by an agency or professional as having one of the following conditions: intellectual disabilities, cognitive delays as measured by formal assessment, or significant learning or vocational problems due to cognitive delay that require or have required specially designed instruction.
  • The athlete must have a current Special Olympics Texas Athlete Enrollment/Medical Release Form on file.

91͵ÅÄ additional participation requirements for bocce, basketball teams, and soccer teams.

  • The athlete must be an enrolled student with 91͵ÅÄ, classified as a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or a student in the district’s Transition Program.
